The Twelve Apostles

The Twelve Apostles enjoys one of the most stunning settings of any hotel on the Cape Peninsula. Behind the hotel soar the peaks of the Twelve Apostles, the twelve rocky promontories that form a spine toward Table Mountain, while in front of the hotel are unimpeded views of the ocean, with a small rocky bay directly below the hotel that even has its own shipwreck.

The Twelve Apostles is about five to ten minutes south of Camps Bay, giving it a rural, secluded location that is still within easy reach of the city, to which the hotel runs a complimentary shuttle service. The 70 rooms are decorated along four stylish themes: Marine, using white and blue shades; Safari, decorated with dark woods and African prints; Shell, where crisp white linen is combined with seashell motifs; and Nature, which again uses white linen, but with a floral, English design.

The hotel offers every luxury. The Azure restaurant serves superb food using fresh local ingredients, and offers spectacular views of the ocean and sunsets, as does the Leopard Room bar, while there is also a café for snacks and lighter meals. The award-winning spa is a lovely place to relax and enjoy a treatment or two, or you could enjoy the sunshine by one of the three pools, or take in a movie at the complimentary 16-seat cinema.

The slopes of the Twelve Apostles offer some great walking trails from the hotel, and are well provided with shady spots and hammocks where you can recuperate with a glass of champagne and a specially prepared picnic.
