Barefoot Resort, Havelock Island

For discerning nature lovers the Barefoot at Havelock is an eco-friendly retreat in the shadows of lush green tropical rainforests, right next to a beautiful white sandy beach. Spread over seven acres of organic landscape, the resort is based on the philosophy of sustainable and socially responsible tourism. The resort is built from environmentally friendly and indigenous raw materials, the 18 cottages and villas made from wood and thatch, rainwater is harvested and most staff are local. Continental and Indian delicacies along with local seafood dishes are on offer at the restaurant, with much of the food prepared from organically grown products and fresh catches of the day. The Lounge Bar is fully stocked with both Indian and imported alcoholic beverages with the accompaniment of jazz and lounge music.
