In Zambia’s national parks you’ll find a mixture of safari accommodation including beautiful lodges and small, intimate bush camps. Properties are predominantly built overlooking rivers or waterholes and dining and activities are usually communal.

Meals might be served under a sausage tree or on a raised deck, whilst the open-air bathrooms are sometimes visited by a tree frog or two. All places to stay are unfenced so it’s common for wildlife to wander through. Livingstone’s beautiful riverside lodges are the ideal place to start or end a safari; from here you can enjoy Victoria Falls, take a relaxing boat cruise on the Zambezi River and fall asleep to the sound of hippo grunting in the water.
