Cruise Ships in Alaska : MS Koningsdam

The MS Koningsdam is the largest ship within Holland America’s fleet with accommodations for up to 2,650 guests. The ship combines modern design and nautical tradition with inspiration drawn from music, notably featuring a towering stainless-steel sculpture representing a string quarter in the ship’s skylight-capped atrium. The ship boasts two swimming pools, a Culinary Arts Centre, spa, salon and fitness centre. Guests can make the most of the on-board entertainment with film screenings and theatre venues showcasing live music and captivating performances. Koningsdam provides a wealth of delectable treats with a two-level main restaurant, a superb nine alternative restaurants with worldwide cuisine including Japanese at Nami Sushi, Italian at Canaletto and New York Pizza & Deli and Asian delicacies at Tamarind. There is also the option to create some delicious dishes with a visit to Americas Test Kitchen to take part in cooking workshops or watch live culinary demonstrations.

Cabins

There are five cabin types to choose from, all fitted with two single beds which can be converted into one queen size bed in the lower room categories and a king size in the Neptune and Pinnacle suites. The comfortable sized rooms all have a lounge area, private bathroom and ample wardrobe space. Vista, Neptune and Pinnacle suits are all equipped with baths, coffee makers and a mini fridge. Mini fridges can be requested for the other cabins at a daily rate. Amenities across the cabins include hair dryer, TV with DVD player and a safe. Wi-Fi is available throughout the ship however the signal strength may vary within cabins depending on location.
