Today, you will explore Panama's contrasting capital, taking in the remains of the original capital, Panama Viejo, which was sacked by Henry Morgan in the 1600s and the beautiful colonial quarter of Casco Antiguo.

Today enjoy a partial transit of the Panama Canal, traveling from the Pacific through the Miraflores and Pedro Miguel Locks to Gatún Lake, the canal's watershed.

Take the short transfer to the Soberanía National Park, where you enjoy a jungle boat excursion and a guided walk on the Pipeline Road.

Embark upon a fascinating day traveling in a dugout canoe up the Chagres River to visit an Emberá indigenous community.

Transfer back to Panama City for your flight to David and onward transfer to Boquete.

Today, you will enjoy a hiking and birding tour in the highlands with your guide. You will hike through the unspoiled forest where you will experience the cloudforest, observing an abundance of flora and fauna. You will see ancient trees covered with moss, epiphytic plants and orchids. You should be able to spot birds such as large-footed finches, peg-billed finches, black-cheeked warblers, long-tailed silky-flycatchers, zeledonias and silvery-fronted tapaculo.

Transfer back to Panama City and on to Bocas del Toro on the Caribbean coast.

Today you'll have the opportunity to see the picturesque beaches and reefs of Bocas del Toro. You'll board your boat and start your adventure by visiting Dolphin Bay, Coral Key and Zapatilla Island.

At leisure in Bocas — you can hire kayaks and bikes to help you explore. To go further afield, take a water taxi to visit some of the beautiful beaches in the archipelago, or Bastimentos Island to discover the beauty of the rainforest and the mangroves.

Fly back to Panama City and spend a final evening in the city.
