Itinerary idea
Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
-
Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Windhoek.
-
Upon landing in Windhoek, your driver will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation to relax.
-
Your personal safari guide will collect you from your guesthouse after breakfast this morning. You then depart Windhoek in your private safari vehicle for Hoodia Desert Lodge, stopping for a picnic lunch at a scenic location along the way.
-
Today, you can go on a guided tour to the Sossusvlei area with your guide. A lovely combination is to drive to see the Deadvlei and Sossusvlei areas in the morning and include a climb up Dune 45 or Big Daddy if you are feeling energetic. After exploring the dunes, you will enjoy brunch nearby. You will then head to the canyon before returning to your lodge to relax.
-
Today, your driver will take you to Swakopmund on the coast. This afternoon, you can explore the historic town and coastline before dinner in one of the town's fantastic restaurants.
-
Today you will be driven north along the coast before heading inland to Damaraland. If you want to see the famous 'White Lady' rock paintings, you can stop off at Brandberg Mountain on the way to your accommodation rather than backtrack tomorrow.
-
This morning, you and your guide will search for the desert-adapted elephant from Camp Kipwe. In the afternoon, you will see the famous Twyfelfontein Canyon, known for its rock art paintings and sketches from thousands of years ago.
-
Today you will be driven to Grootberg Lodge, which is only a couple of hours north. It is a beautiful drive with a particularly dramatic final sector as you climb the steep lodge access road to be rewarded with spectacular views. In the afternoon you will have time for a guided cultural tour of the nearby homesteads or a nature drive along the plateau.
-
This morning you will head on to Hobatere Lodge, on the Hobatere Reserve, to the far west of Etosha National Park. Later, you can enjoy an afternoon safari in the reserve.
-
Today, you can explore the reserve further; you may wish to use the hide by the waterhole just outside the lodge. You will also have the opportunity to go on a night drive.
-
You'll leave the lodge after breakfast and enter the national park to enjoy a full morning on your way to the central region of Etosha. You'll meander along the tracks looking out for wildlife as you pass. Depending on how often you stop, you should arrive at your next lodge in time for lunch and afternoon activities.
-
Today will be spent exploring the reserve and neighbouring national park with your guide.
-
You may wish to have one last morning safari, before returning to Windhoek in the evening.
