Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Muscat. On arrival, you will be met and taken to your hotel, where you will have the rest of the day to relax and catch up on any jet lag.

Today, your family will all head out in search of dolphins along the Omani coastline. Your boat heads toward the serene Damaniyat Islands, just off the coast of Muscat. After spending time finding wild dolphins, you all get the opportunity to go snorkelling among the coral reefs before having lunch on the beach. Return to Muscat in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Today’s drive will take you from the calm city of Muscat into the interior of Oman, through the Sumail Gap, once the only route between the interior and the coast. The scenery is stunning, with mountains on either side and a valley floor filled with palm plantations. En route, stop at Birkat Al Mauz, a village where you will find a restored fortified house.

Depart The View this morning and drive down the mountain toward Al Hoota Caves, one of the many vast underground caverns throughout Oman. Take a family-friendly tour through the 800 metres of wonderful cave formations, stalagmites and stalactites. After, you continue to Nizwa Fort where you meet your local guide who gives you a glimpse into the 17th century history of the area. You drive on to Dusit D2 Naseem Resort, your hotel for the next two nights.

Today you join your local, private guide for a hike through three beautiful, traditional villages in the Jebel Akhdar. The hike is suitable for all ages and fitness levels and you’ll be treated to stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. You stop to visit a rose water distillery where locals use ancient methods to make this wonderful-smelling product, used in cosmetics and cooking.

Today’s adventure involves a three-hour drive from the mountains to the rolling dunes of the desert. No desert trip would be complete without some exhilarating off-roading through the sand as you arrive at your desert camp, situated between two 30 metre-high dunes. On arrival, soak up the atmosphere with a camel ride at sunset.

Today you make your way from the desert to the coast, and stop at the beautiful Wadi Bani Khalid. Here you can take a swim in the fresh water, and hike up to the nearby waterfalls. In the afternoon, you arrive at the conservation-focused Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve where, if you’re lucky, you will spot turtles laying eggs or young ones making their way to the water.

Wake up at 5am for a second visit to Green Turtle Beach to check whether any more action has taken place overnight. You will all then drive back to Muscat along the scenic road and your hire car will be collected from your hotel. You have the rest of the day at leisure to relax or make use of the hotel’s facilities.

Today you join your friendly, local guide for a panoramic tour of Muscat. The tour will be pitched to all ages and includes a visit to Sultan Qaboos Mosque, the Royal Opera House, and Muttrah Souq. At the souq, you’ll find a traditional shopping area along the corniche, as well as a fish market, which tells the story of Oman’s illustrious trading past. In the evening, you get a different perspective on a twilight dhow (traditional wooden boat) cruise.

Your driver will meet you at your hotel and take you to Muscat International Airport for your flight home. You will bid a fond farewell to Oman, and your return flight will arrive home the same day. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
