Rooms

The Hilton has 111 spacious villas, set in either the gardens or just steps from the beach, some with private pools.

All the villas have a modern design and come with all the facilities you would expect from an international hotel including air conditioning, DVD player, Wi-Fi, minibar, tea and coffee facilities, and en suite bathrooms with double basins and both indoor and outdoor showers.

Location

Hilton Labriz sits on a white-sand beach that stretches nearly 1.5 km (about a mile) along the east coast of Silhouette Island. The island lies just 45 minutes by boat from the north coast of Mahé on the hotel’s shuttle service that runs three times a day. Alternatively, it’s just 15 minutes by helicopter.

Food and drink

Hilton Labriz’s seven restaurants offer a wide dining selection.

The main hotel restaurant, Café Dauban, serves international and Creole buffets and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A relaxed barbecue and seafood restaurant on the beach, 4th Degree offers a small dining area dotted with driftwood furniture and lanterns strung from the trees.

There are two Japanese restaurants at the resort, Sakura and Teppanyaki. Sakura is set close to the beach and boasts a striking interior design with Japanese influences. The menu is Japanese fusion-cuisine, and there is an open kitchen and sushi bar. Sakura is open four nights a week for dinner.

Teppanyaki is a lakeside pavilion with views of the mountain. The central show kitchen prepares stunning teppanyaki dishes including freshly caught local seafood and it is open four nights a week for dinner.

Portobello offers fine dining and modern Italian cuisine and is open for dinner four nights a week. There is air-conditioned indoor seating as well as an outdoor terrace for dining under the stars.

Grann Kaz, open for dinner twice a week, serves a fusion of Seychellois and French cuisine set in a Seychellois plantation house a five-minute walk from the hotel. The restored home of the Dauban family, previous owners of the island, it was built in 1860 and still retains all of its original features.

Finally, there are two restaurants which serve snacks. Lo Brizan, with views of the Indian Ocean and the deep green forest-covered slopes of the island, opens at lunchtime and serves snacks that can be enjoyed beside the pool. Lo Brizan has live entertainment at least three times per week. La Pizzeria serves light snacks and gourmet pizzas.

Families

Hilton Labriz welcomes children and beds can be added to parents' rooms to accommodate them. There is a kids' club for 4 to 12 years with a schedule of supervised activities, as well as a playground. Babysitting is also available.

Local excursions

The hotel arranges several excursions to help guests explore Silhouette Island, including some half-day and full-day hikes through the steep interior or along small, secluded coves. You can also book sunset cruises or a boat trip with private picnic to peaceful Anse Mondon beach in the north of the island. Or, if you’d like to try your hand at the local cuisine, you can take Creole cooking classes.

Diving

Silhouette Island is surrounded by natural reefs and the resort has a 5-star PADI diving facility, with decompression chamber. Instruction is readily available for first-time divers. Snorkeling equipment and advice are also available.

Spa Facilities

Nestled in the jungle at the edge of the resort, Hilton Labriz’s spa includes six treatment suites set on stilts, amidst massive boulders and rainforest. There’s also a steam room, refreshing plunge pool sauna and Jacuzzi.
