The understated luxury and unfussy service of the Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort provides guests with an indulgent yet low-key base for a trip to the island. Friendly, attentive service, designer style, a variety of top-notch facilities, and sweeping views out over the sea combine to make it one of the most comfortable properties on Mykonos.
The hotel has plenty of space and facilities for guests to explore without the impersonal feel of a large resort. In the main building near the bright, sunny reception, a stylish lobby bar and inviting library welcome guests. The 96 guest rooms and suites are located over a few different levels connected by elevator. All are decorated in a modern style with a tasteful nod to nautical inspiration and excellent attention to detail.
The spa leads out onto the large, saltwater pool with a pool bar and a casual lunch restaurant, while a set of stone steps winds its way down to the reserved beach area. The more formal evening restaurant has a focus on fresh seafood.
Service throughout the property is exemplary. Nothing seems too much trouble and staff have a knack of ensuring that every guest feels well looked after during their stay.
We think the Mykonos Grand is one of the most comfortable properties on the island. We love the attentive, yet unpretentious service, and the private, sandy beach area. A fantastic prosecco breakfast is the cherry on top!

Rooms
Even entry level rooms are large at the Mykonos Grand, with guest rooms across all categories more spacious than those elsewhere on the island. The bright, tastefully decorated rooms are located across several different buildings and levels, but all feature white decor with blue accents and a hint of nautical inspiration. Details are well thought out: in addition to the amenities one would expect at a five-star property, beach bags are provided as is a little charger kit for guests who may have forgotten something at home.
Location
The Mykonos Grand is located on the southwestern part of the island at Agios Ioannis beach. The western-facing orientation means guests enjoy unobstructed views of the nearby islands of Delos and Rineia as well as vivid sunsets reflected on the sea. There are a few restaurants and some other hotels nearby, but for the most part, the location feels like a peaceful retreat from the rest of the island.
Food and drink
The main restaurant, Dolphins of Delos, serves an elaborate breakfast in the mornings complete with prosecco, and dinner in the evenings with sweeping sea views and a focus on fresh fish and seafood. The more casual Aqua e Sole restaurant is open for lunch by the pool. There is also a pool bar open throughout the day and evening, and the lobby bar which is open late.
Facilities and activities
There’s no shortage of facilities at the Mykonos Grand. The highlight is a huge saltwater swimming pool with views of the sea. The hotel also has a designated beach area, accessed by steps from the pool, with plush loungers and beach service. There’s a spa with both general facilities and treatment rooms, a large fitness room and outdoor tennis courts.
