Franschhoek Wine Tram
Franschhoek Wine Tram
This wine-focused tram service runs from historic Franschhoek Village and stops at some of South Africa's oldest and most renowned wine estates.
What better way to explore the beautiful Winelands than on horseback. The rides leave from the Paradise Stables, on purebred Arabian horses. You will ride through the vineyards, forests and over the mountains, taking time to stop and admire the stunning views and breathtaking scenery.
You will stop at a couple of wineries where you will spend your time sampling their fine wines and learning more about them. In total the ride will last for about four hours including stops.
The stables here have knowledgeable guides and horses to suit different abilities, so whether you are a novice or experienced rider, this is a great way to spend an afternoon.
These activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences around where you're staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident's eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can suggest tours and activities that will introduce you to the local ways of life.
