Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • On arrival in Maun, you'll meet your guide and fly to the Moremi Wildlife Reserve via a 4x4 safari vehicle. The crew will already have set up camp ahead of your arrival. In the afternoon, you will head out on your first safari where you may be able to spot herds of elephants in the mopane woodlands, a tawny eagle, or the more common southern yellow-billed hornbill. This will be your base for the next three nights.

  • Enjoy spending a full day exploring the varied habitats in the Delta with safari drives. This fascinating area has a labyrinth of waterways and is home to 400 species of birds, including the African fish eagle, Pel's fishing owl, and the rare slaty egret.

  • Today is your second day exploring the Delta with your guide. If you're lucky, you might find a leopard sleeping under a Kigelia africana or, more commonly known as, a sausage tree. Arrive back at your tent to enjoy a delicious brunch prepared by your chef. All your meals will be freshly made in camp, using local ingredients, and often prepared over the campfire.

  • This morning, you drive slowly through the Moremi Game Reserve northeast toward the Mababe Concession where you will spend the next three nights. In this private concession, only 20 vehicles are allowed at any one time, leaving the landscape largely unspoiled. In the afternoon you can enjoy an afternoon mokoro cruise down the quieter channels surrounding camp.

  • Today, you will explore the Mababe Concession area. This area is known for big herds of buffalos as well as zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. You will also be able to experience night drives and walking safaris in the Khwai area as it is outside the national park. See what nocturnal wildlife you can find with the spotlight as you make your way back to camp in the dark. Dinner will be waiting for you upon returning.

  • Today is your second day exploring the Mababe area with your guide. You will traverse across new territory in the concession today. Your guide can take the vehicle off-road, so you will be getting the best possible sightings of some of the big cats, including leopards, cheetahs, servals, and lions, all of whom can be found here.

  • After breakfast, you will have a morning safari on your way to the airstrip, where you will be met by your light aircraft for the flight back to Maun. In Maun, you will board your onward flight to Kasane. Upon arrival, a representative from your lodge will be waiting for you and any other passengers and take you to your lodge in Chobe National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the chance to head out on an afternoon or evening safari.

  • Chobe National Park is renowned for being home to tens of thousands of elephants, which you are sure to encounter on your sunrise safari. Later in the day, you will have a chance to get a different prerogative while on a boating safari. From this unique vantage point, you will be at eye-level with the park's larger animals while getting to see birds like the sacred ibis and hunting for fish.

  • Your previous days spent in the bush should make you an expert by now as you go in search of tracks and signs of wildlife on your morning walking safari. Afterwards, you will get a taste of local life when you go to visit the village of Mabele where you will learn how local sorghum beer is made and get involved in making pap from maize. This afternoon's wildlife drive will end with sundowners and snacks.

  • You can choose to spend your final morning on a walk, a wildlife drive, or relaxing at the lodge. After breakfast, you and other guests will be transferred to Kasane Airport for your onward flight.
