Sunset Horse Riding
Sunset Horse Riding
Riders wind their way across the grassy plains and through ancient water courses and eventually up a steep mountain track, where a friendly barman with a selection of cocktails awaits them.
Awake early and drive down to Sesriem, into the national park and onward toward Sossusvlei, around 70 km from the park entrance. The entrance opens at sunrise and this is the best time of day to see the dunes, so it's really worth having an early start as in these first few hours the light is superb for photography, plus it won't be too hot!
Enjoy the amazing scenery of Sossusvlei, and maybe take a short walk to Deadvlei, a bizarre collection of ancient camelthorn trees, or climb the nearby dunes.
Breakfast is served by your guide, under the shade of the acacia trees before returning via Sesriem to take a look at Sesriem Canyon.
