Day Trek from Namobuddha

This trek from Namobuddha to the village of Balthali will take you past the monastery at Namobuddha and around the mountains, down a valley, crossing a river by a suspension bridge before crossing farmland to the village. In Balthali there is a miniature replica of Kathmandu's Budhanilkantha shrine with a reclining Vishnu, as well as a very large metal trishul or trident.

The trident was to be placed at the confluence of the Roshi Khola River and Ghatte Khola River, however, it is currently stored in the middle of the Balthali village. This trek will allow you to enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding area and immense array of terraced fields before returning to Namobuddha.
