I embarked on a three-week journey to Australia with no plans of extending my stay, yet within just one week, my entire perspective shifted. The blend of culture, landscapes, and experiences captivated me. Sydney with its vibrant city life alongside the tranquil ocean life a mere 10 minutes away, quickly became my new home.

Following my undergraduate studies in Sociology, my passion for understanding societies and cultures deepened. I set out to explore the world, delving into the diverse experiences different countries offer. From skiing in the Rockies to snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, I seized countless once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, enriching my understanding of the world and fostering a profound appreciation for travel.

Q&A with Pippa

Barramundi

What’s the best local dish that you’ve tasted?

Barramundi was by far my favourite local dish that I tasted in Australia. As a big lover of fish, I've tried many different types, but none compare to Barramundi. The crispy skin of the Barramundi adds a delightful texture contrast to the tender, flaky flesh of the fish.

Snorkelling at Green Island, Antigua

What's your most vivid travel moment?

One of my most vivid travel memories occurred during my journey along Australia's east coast. While snorkelling off Green Island, I suddenly found myself face to face with a reef shark just a meter away. Despite my lifelong fear of sharks I resisted the urge to panic and instead swam closer to the shark. It was a surreal moment, surrounded by the vibrant colours of the coral reef while confronting my biggest fear head-on. The rush of adrenaline was indescribable, making this encounter both exhilarating and unforgettable.

Winter in Shirakawa-go

Where would you love to travel next?

I would love to have the opportunity to travel to Japan. Skiing In Japan has been on my travel bucket list for a while now. With it being known for its legendary powder snow whilst also having its own unique mountain landscapes. I would also love to experience Tokyo and unique culture that it offers.
