Rooms

Each lodge is spacious, comprising 260 sq m. of living space, configured as two wings. From the large entry foyer, you go right or left. The east wing contains the social areas, for entertaining, relaxing, reading, cooking, dining and outdoor living, and in the west wing, along a 33 m hallway, you’ll find the bedrooms and bathrooms.

Each lodge contains four bedrooms, catering from two to eight people, two large bathrooms, an open plan kitchen, a dining room and lounge, separate sitting rooms and an outside patio. International brands, designer fittings and furniture feature throughout, such as a Gaggenau equipped kitchen, Miele appliances, Nespresso coffee machine, Bose audio system, Murcutt’s signature red open fireplace, a stand-alone Villeroy and Boch bath, and a range of notable Australian artwork on the walls.

Location

Comprising 42 hectares and surrounded by native bush and abundant wildlife, Alkina Lodge is located at Wattle Hill on the Great Ocean Road, 15 minutes’ drive from the Twelve Apostles, only 900 m from the final section of the Great Ocean Walk, and just a few minutes from the impressive Wreck Beach. Its central location along the Great Ocean Road make it a great base for exploring both the eastern and western portions of this coastal drive. Local communities such as Lavers Hill in the hinterland and Port Campbell on the coast are both within a 30-minute drive respectively.

Food and drink

Alkina Lodge is self-catering, so generally guests will prepare meals in their own luxury fully equipped kitchen, however we can arrange for a private chef to come to your lodge, or to have a gourmet hamper option prepared for you.
