A former 15th-century patrician house, Hotel De Tuilerieën combines historic charm and a convenient location along the Dijver Canal. Within walking distance of many of Bruges’s highlights, the hotel also features an indoor pool and wellness area, a rarity in the city.
A hotel with a storied past, the building hid the relic of the Holy Blood from 1578–1584, while the more modern wing formerly operated as a bank. The building was carefully refurbished to mix historic touches like original ceilings, wood floors, open fireplaces and vaulted ceilings with more modern decor like wooden four-poster beds, Murano crystal chandeliers and floral wallpaper.
The 45 rooms are comfortable and simple with minimalist furnishings and decor, and some boast views of the canal. The hotel also features a welcoming bar with a fireplace, comfortable armchairs and intricately illustrated walls.
We love this hotel for its excellent location, inviting boutique atmosphere and the rare indoor pool and wellness facilities.
