Blancaneaux Lodge

Owned by Francis Ford Coppola, Blancaneaux Lodge is a first class lodge situated in the beautiful natural surroundings of Mountain Pine Ridge in the Cayo District.

With just 24 rooms in total, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and the staff are incredibly helpful. There are many tours that can be arranged locally through the lodge to visit archaeological sites in the area, or you can go birding, mountain biking or horse riding. The spacious and comfortable rooms and villas are set around pleasant gardens, the river and a lovely pool.

There are two restaurants, one specializing in Italian cuisine and the other one (reservations required) specializing in Guatemalan cuisine. There is also a small spa and a warm pool to relax in. This area is subject to unpredictable periods of cold weather, especially in January and February, so we would recommend you bringing warm clothes.

There is an airstrip on site for those that wish the convenience of chartering a plane around the country rather than driving — please ask your specialist at the time of booking if you would like the prices for this option.
