Tabin Wildlife Resort is nestled among the dipterocarp rainforest in eastern Sabah. The wildlife reserve holds extraordinary diversity and is a dedicated area for the breeding of wildlife and birdlife, including the Borneo pygmy elephant.
The accommodation consists of 20 spacious twin or double timber lodges located along the Lipad River. Ten overlook the river and ten are slightly further away on the steep hillside. All the bungalows are air conditioned and also have a fan. The attached bathroom has a hot water shower but for the more adventurous, bathing in a natural pool five minutes from your lodge is great choice, particularly if you have indulged in a mud bath! Each cabin has a private balcony overlooking either the forest or river. The Sunbird Cafe serves simple Western and local cuisine — depending on how busy the lodge is, this will be buffet or à la carte.
