The grand façade of the Belmond Copacabana Palace greets guests arriving to one of the world’s great cities and after stepping across the threshold you'll find yourself immersed in the enduring allure of Rio’s golden age. This is complemented by the hotel’s modern amenities, contemporary restaurants, and impeccable service which draws in jet-setting visitors from the world over.
When not out exploring Rio, guests can soak up the sun by the pool or on the beach — perhaps with a caipirinha in hand — or enjoy the hotel’s numerous other amenities such as their botanical spa, tennis courts, or gym. The hotel is also home to several renowned restaurants.
This Art Deco landmark is one of the finest places to stay in Rio. The pool area is excellent, as are the restaurants and the spa facilities, and the rooms evoke the forgotten era of Rio's golden age.

Rooms
Rooms and suites are divided between a main building and adjoining tower. Rooms vary in size and can range from city or partial ocean views right up to uninterrupted views of the Copacabana strip. All have marble bathrooms, air conditioning, and other amenities; the suite category and above also have their own private balconies.
Location
For nearly a century the Belmond Copacabana Palace has occupied one of the prime spots on Copacabana Beach. Despite being right on Avenida Atlântica — the main strip that runs the length of the beach — the hotel remains slightly tucked back, allowing for respite from the whirling urban jungle just footsteps away.
Food and drink
Several of Rio’s best-loved restaurants are found at the Belmond Copacabana Palace and with three options to choose from, there's the opportunity to sample different regional and international cuisine every night of your stay. Pérgula serves authentic Brazilian dishes. There's also hearty Italian fare at Hotel Cipriani Restaurant, and Michelin-starred pan-Asian cuisine at Mee. The upscale Piano Bar is an excellent place for an apéritif or a nightcap.
Families
The hotel may seem opulent, but this is still a good option for families. Special amenities can be provided for children and connecting rooms are available.
Facilities and activities
Facilities at the hotel include a semi-Olympic-size swimming pool, a spa, a tennis court, and three excellent restaurants and a bar, plus beach service. You'll also be able to see all the famous people who have stayed at the hotel in its 'hall of fame'.

The beaches are an excellent place to watch cariocas jogging, strutting and walking their poodles in the sunshine. You set the pace and if there is time you will also be able to circle the Lagoa before returning to your hotel.
