-
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, you can visit the northern Usaquén district with its mix of bohemian boutiques, colonial charms, and excellent restaurants.
-
A walking tour of the historical center of the city with your private guide visits the world-famous Gold Museum and also takes you to see the views over the city from Monserrate.
-
Take a private transfer to the airport where you will fly out to the plains of Los Llanos. Upon arrival in the small city of Yopal, you will be driven out to Finca La Independencia, where you will enjoy a day in the life of a gaucho.
-
Today's wildlife safari begins with a morning of birdwatching, an afternoon of driving in search of mammals and reptiles in their natural habitat, and finishes with a cold drink watching the sunset over the plains. To cap it all off, you will enjoy a private drive under the stars back to your hotel. A delicious traditional lunch is also included today.
-
Continue to explore the vast plain of the llanos on foot or, during the wet season, aboard a canoe.
-
Return to the airport via private transfer for your flight to Medellín. Today's tour of the city focuses on the modern era of Medellín which stands as Colombia's most innovative and forward-thinking city.
-
You will board a light aircraft today for your flight over the pristine rainforest to the small outpost of Bahia Solano on the Pacific coast. Here you will be met by a private driver and take a short drive outside of town to your lodge. After about 40 minutes, you will arrive at Ecolodge El Almejal, which will serve as your base for exploring this slice of paradise.
-
Included in your stay are daily excursions around the area. From June through October, whales pass by the coast on their annual migration, so a day of private whale watching is a must.
-
Continue further down the coast to Utría National Park and its mangroves or explore the jungle surrounding the lodge. Alternatively, sit back and enjoy the untouched black sand beach.
-
Leave the Pacific coast today and return to civilization in Medellín. Please note that we always build in a buffer day here as rains can cause flights to be delayed or cancelled.
-
You will be driven back to the airport for your flight to Bogotá. From here you will connect to your international return flight.
