Grand Hôtel Continental

Grand Hôtel Continental

Reims, France

Located in the heart of the Champagne region, this 19th-century mansion-turned-boutique-hotel offers an intimate stay with modern flair. Set in central Reims, the hotel makes a great base for exploring the storied vineyards of the Champagne region, and you’re just a short walk from the city’s Roman ruins, Porte de Mars.

The Continental Hôtel seamlessly combines the limestone façade of the original structure with a contemporary bold design that’s apparent in the smallest detail. The 52 rooms are all decorated in pale neutral shades that contrast with strong dark tones, accented by patterned wallpaper, printed throw pillows and whimsical touches like a white owl sculpture with glowing yellow eyes.

The hotel’s restaurant is beloved of locals and visitors alike, with an ever-changing seasonal menu that offers both prix fixe and à la carte options. The stylish decor continues here, with indigo-blue wood panels on the walls, comfortably masculine leather club chairs and a bistro atmosphere.

OUR OPINION:

We love the Continental Hôtel for its modern flair, elegant decor and exceptional location — not only is Reims the capital of the Champagne region, the hotel is centrally located in the city.
