Located in the oldest part of town in an amalgamation of various 15th century houses, Hôtel Le Cep is as central as you can get. Staying here puts you within ambling distance of Beaune’s historic sights, and it makes a great base for exploring the Cote d’Or vineyards.

Behind the building’s grand façade is a hotel that oozes old fashioned luxury, with staff that will go to great lengths to make your stay enjoyable. Rooms are individual and many have their own, tasteful theme. There is an Ayurvedic doctor in residence, with a full range of treatments available adjoining the spa.

Breakfast is served in the dedicated breakfast cellar, serving an extensive buffet of delicious international fare with a focus on locally sourced produce. Lunch and dinner are available at the two restaurants either side of the hotel — Lunchbox, serving an Ayurvedic vegetarian lunch buffet; and Loiseau des Vignes, which offers a menu of Burgundian classics, recommended by Michelin.

Opulently decorated, the bar area comes with eye-catching decor that evokes luxury — distressed mirrors, jewel tones, evocative lighting. Here, you can sink into a plush velvet sofa or relax out in the cobbled courtyard with a glass of fine Burgundy wine chosen from the hotel’s expansive cellar.

Luxurious rooms mix 15th-century original features with contemporary comforts, and delicious cuisine and wine plunge you into the heart of this vineyard-rich region. The central location in Beaune’s old town is unbeatable.

Rooms

Hôtel le Cep offers various rooms, plus a cottage which can accommodate up to six people. This comes with an independent entrance, two bedrooms, and a well-equipped kitchenette.

All rooms combine historical charm and modern comforts, and enjoy views of the courtyard garden or city streets and vineyards beyond. Rooms are individually themed and have ornately carved period furniture.

White and gold bathrooms warmed with soft towels and robes feel opulent, and quality touches include coffee machines and soundproofing.

Location

Just two minutes on foot from the Hospices de Beaune, a 15th-century architectural masterpiece built under the reign of the Duke of Burgundy, Hôtel le Cep enjoys an enviable location in the heart of the quaint old town. Beaune is a stop on the Burgundy wine trail, and you’ll find plenty of wine caves within walking distance, as well as prestigious vineyards just a short drive away.
