Game Drives in Ranthambhore

Morning and afternoon game drives in the national park are included in your stay at Ranthambhore, one of the prime examples of Project Tiger's conservation work.

Morning drives are currently timed to leave the lodge at around 7.30am, and afternoon ones around 2.30pm. Routes, which must be adhered to, are allocated at the park entrance, on a first come, first served basis. You return to your accommodation for breakfast after the morning drive.

You have chance to freshen up, relax, explore the local area and discuss sightings with staff and other guests before venturing back into the park again in the afternoon.

The entire forest is peppered with the battlements and spillovers of the Ranthambhore Fort, where tigers are said to frequent the ruins.

Despite being a relatively small park Ranthambhore has a rich diversity of fauna and flora. In addition to the tiger, the park is a good place to see various deer including spotted deer, barking deer and chinkara or Indian gazelles as well as a wide variety of birdlife.
