Where to go for your spring honeymoon
South Africa
South Africa has it all: delicious cuisine and excellent wines in the lively, cosmopolitan city of Cape Town; leafy vineyards; stunning scenery along the Garden Route; beautiful unspoiled beaches along the Elephant Coast; and a chance to see the 'Big Five' on safari in the Kruger National Park.
Unique experience: Wine tasting by horseback in Franschhoek, South Africa.
French Polynesia
Paradise is a word that epitomizes French Polynesia, where reef-fringed islands are encircled by incredible turquoise lagoons. Though beaches may be the main allure of this destination, there is also plenty to do including experiencing some of the best dive sites in the world, whale watching or learning about local industry by visiting a pearl farm or vanilla factory. Although Tahiti and Bora Bora may be better known, we would also recommend the Tuamotu and Marquesas archipelagos, which are no less idyllic but even more secluded.
Unique experience: Swimming with reef sharks and manta rays in French Polynesia.
Malaysia
Colonial towns, countless temples, rolling tea plantations and ancient rainforest are all part of Malaysia's appeal. You will also find wide stretches of perfect white-sand beach along the east coast as well as a scattering of wonderfully secluded islands with heavenly beaches bordered by lush jungle and clear blue water.
Unique experience: Canopy walkways among ancient rainforest in Malaysia.
