Situated 2 km (just over a mile) from Petra in the nearby village of Wadi Musa, The Old Village Resort is a carefully restored 19th century village-style property designed to afford guests a high level of comfort away from the busy day's sightseeing.

The hotel is abound with character, a great example of this being the exposed brickwork and archways throughout. After a busy day’s sightseeing, relax at the indoor swimming pool or outdoor Jacuzzi. There is a restaurant onsite serving great food made using locally sourced ingredients. Jordanian and international cuisine are both available here for lunch and dinner. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Moreover, the staff are very friendly, helpful and amenable.

Rooms

The very nature of the hotel's history means that it abounds with character, and each of the rooms and suites possess much of the original stonework, while modern touches give the rooms a comfortable finish. All rooms have Wi-Fi access, tea and coffee making facilities, television, air conditioning, safe deposit box and a minibar. The bathrooms are well equipped with a bath or shower, hair dryer and complimentary toiletries. The rooms are furnished to reflect the history and culture of the area and to showcase local handicraft skills.

Location

The Old Village Resort has a great location just 1.5 km away from the center of Wadi Musa, the closest town, and around 2 km from Petra Visitor Centre. This means that if you have a morning tour of the historic city, you can enjoy being one of the first guests into the site. The hotel looks out west, meaning that the sunsets across the valley here can be particularly striking.
