The lodge has 30 comfortable rooms each having en suite facilities and private balconies that offer unobstructed views of the Annapurna range.

Guran, their main dining room offers a broad selection of food while enjoying mountain views from inside or from the seating area on the veranda. The highlight is their rooftop infinity pool. There is a bar adjacent to the pool where you can enjoy a cocktail before dinner or even have your meal there.

Other facilities include the Tripti Spa, and they also have a few mountain bikes on site.

OUR OPINION:

Recognizing the fact that most guests stay at Sarangkot for the views, the property has been built in such a way that each room offers a view of the surrounding peaks. The legendary Nepalese hospitality is quite apparent here as they serve a very generous breakfast on the terrace while you admire the views.

Rooms

The property has 28 deluxe rooms that are decorated with earthy colors. The decor is modern, and all rooms come with tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning, in-room safe and Wi-Fi. They have two suites that have a separate living room and bedroom. The bedroom also features a bathtub with a view of the mountains. All rooms and suites have a private balcony offering mountain views.

Location

At an elevation of 1,600 m (5,249 ft), the lodge can be reached in half an hour via the winding roads from Phewa Lake.

Food and drink

Named after the rhododendron, the national flower of Nepal, the main dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a broad selection of local and continental cuisine. If it’s a clear day, you can always dine outside on the veranda to enjoy the mountain views. The bar is adjacent to the rooftop pool where you can enjoy a cocktail before dinner or even have your meal there.

Facilities and activities

If you’d like to explore the surrounding area, there are several hikes that they would be happy to recommend. For cycling enthusiasts, Sarangkot Mountain Lodge has mountain bikes available for guests to tour the village. A guide will accompany you on the bike ride. On returning you can treat yourself at the Tripti spa that has a team of experienced therapists who can offer a range of treatments.
