Rooms

There are several room choices: Standard, Superior, and Junior and Master Suites. They’re all decorated in a subtle palette of grays and blues with splashes of orange, and this, plus their wooden features, gives them an understated, Scandi-esque look. They have either twin or double beds.

As to be expected, suites offer the most space, although the only rooms with a guaranteed ‘ocean view’ are Superior rooms. All rooms come with free Wi-Fi, blackout curtains (perhaps important if you’re visiting during the very light nights of the Arctic summer), and TV. Some come with tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Location

Situated at the end of a quay on Tromsø Harbour, this hotel looks out over the water and buildings of central Tromsø, framed by (sometimes snow-blanketed) mountains. The Arctic Cathedral and Tromsø Bridge are also visible from some of the rooms. Despite its striking location, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the city’s shops and restaurants.
