Octant Furnas Hotel

The Azores, Portugal

Octant Furnas Hotel is set just outside central Furnas, in a tranquil setting in which you can spend some time relaxing and rejuvenating. Entering the lobby, you’ll be greeted with natural landscapes behind the check-in desks, and to your left you’ll find the retro lobby bar decorated with records on the walls and an old typewriter sitting on the bar.

The 54 rooms are comfortable, with deep green and gray tones and fresh white linen. All rooms offer air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as tea and coffee facilities, a robe, slippers and towel to use in the pool or spa.

In addition to pampering treatments, the spa offers you a complimentary water circuit in the indoor, heated therapeutic pool. There is also an outdoor pool which is cold in the summer, but heated in winter. Both pools use water from the nearby geothermal springs, with heat from the geothermal water removed to cool down the pools and heat water elsewhere in the hotel.

During your stay you may wish to take advantage of the hotel’s daily complimentary activity, which changes throughout the year. It can range from joining a local beach clean up to learning to mix the perfect gin and tonic with the staff at the hotel’s superb restaurant, À Terra.
