Yasmin

Argentina & Brazil Specialist

From a young age, I’ve been captivated by the world’s rich diversity, dreaming of distant places and new adventures. I’ve been fortunate to explore six of the seven continents, but Latin America has truly stolen my heart.

Argentina’s landscapes never ceased to amaze me — from the lush wine regions of Mendoza to the glacial wonders of Patagonia and the thundering Iguazú Falls. Brazil, on the other hand, is pure energy. The rhythm of samba, sunsets at a bustling boteca, and the joy of people-watching on Copacabana Beach with a caipirinha in hand, make it utterly infectious.

Since joining Audley, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing Guatemala, Belize, Argentina, and Brazil firsthand. These journeys have deepened my passion for uncovering new landscapes and rich cultures. I’m passionate about crafting journeys that connect travelers to the heart of these remarkable countries. For me, every adventure is a story waiting to be told.

Q&A with Yasmin

Yasmin doing a cooking class experience

What’s the best local dish you’ve tasted?

One of my most memorable meals was at a chef’s private home in Argentina, where he prepared an asado in his own garden — a little oasis surrounded by nature. The feast included sizzling steak, fire-roasted vegetables, and perfectly paired Malbec. It was more than a meal; it was an authentic Argentine experience of food, fire, and connection.

Yasmin riding at Eolo

What’s your most vivid travel moment?

One of my most unforgettable travel moments was staying at Eolo, a Relais & Châteaux property in the heart of Patagonia. I rode a horse named Hopscotch through vast, glacier-carved valleys, the wind whipping around me as the scenery unfolded in every direction. It felt like being part of something otherworldly. Inside Eolo, each window framed a masterpiece — snow-dusted peaks, golden plains, and skies that shifted from soft pastels to blazing sunsets. Every moment felt surreal, as if Patagonia itself had been created to leave you in constant awe. It was pure magic.

Which book, film or artwork captures Argentina and Brazil the most?

Gabriel García Márquez’s ‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’ isn’t specifically about Argentina or Brazil, but its vivid imagery and magical realism perfectly evoke the spirit of Latin America. It’s a story that mirrors the richness of Argentina and Brazil, both in their natural beauty and the lives of their people. The way Márquez intertwines family, tradition, and the surreal feels akin to life in these countries. The novel captures the rhythm and energy of Latin American culture: passionate, complex, and deeply tied to the land.
