Clarion Hotel Post

Gothenburg, Sweden

Set in Gothenburg’s historic post office, and retaining many of its original period features, the Clarion Hotel Post combines traditional charm, modern convenience and a central location at the heart of the city. The exterior’s 1920s neoclassical façade gives way to a stylish, contemporary interior, featuring cool, monochrome palettes and sleek, modern lines. You’re just a few steps from the popular Trädgårdsföreningen park, Gothenburg’s central train station, and Avenyn (the city’s main boulevard).

A generous buffet breakfast is served daily in the dining room. The hotel’s Norda restaurant also offers an impressive Saturday brunch, as well as weekday lunches and dinners — its menu features local ingredients. There’s also a sushi bar and outdoor terrace for enjoying drinks during long Scandinavian summer evenings. During your stay, you can take advantage of the beauty and wellness options available at Skönhetsfabriken (literally: beauty factory), which includes a spa, sauna, gym and pool with panoramic views.

OUR OPINION:

We love this hotel for its excellent location, a short walk from all of Gothenburg’s key highlights, as well as its attentive staff and historical exterior.
