West Point Island Trip
This remote island's main draw is its wildlife: black-browed albatross and rockhopper penguins are both abundant, while Peale's dolphin, sea lion and occasionally whales, can also be seen.
Carcass Island
Carcass Island is simply stunning. The pristine wildlife is everywhere, from the caracaras that will steal anything you put down for more than a second, to the huge elephant seals, and dolphins.
Pebble Island Excursion
Visits to the penguin colonies and white sand beaches are a must, and for those interested in the 1982 conflict there are many sites to visit, including the memorial to the 19 men who died aboard HMS Coventry which lies 13 miles off the coast.
Rookery Mount
Rookery Mount is reached by 4x4 from the main settlement and is home to a colony of albatross, but is perhaps best known for the rockhopper 'shower', a freshwater spring that the birds use to rinse off the salt from the sea.
