Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • After landing in London, meet your private driver and be taken to your centrally located hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing after your flight, ahead of a full travel day tomorrow.

  • Leave the capital behind and board a train heading southwest to Cornwall. Pass rich farmland, ancient woodland and striking coastline to reach Penzance, where your local driver-guide will welcome you and take you to your hotel just outside St Ives.

  • Settle into the Cornish way of life by boarding a local train from your hotel to the nearby town of St Ives, regarded as the artistic hub of Cornwall. Here, you'll spend time wandering the cobbled streets lined with independent boutiques and galleries before having a guided tour of Leach Pottery, a working pottery studio founded in St Ives in the 1920s. Don't leave without indulging in a Cornish cream tea at Tate St Ives Gallery Cafe, which offers spectacular views of Porthmeor Beach and the Atlantic Ocean.

  • Today, join your local driver-guide and explore the west coast of Cornwall. This crescent-shaped peninsula made up of granite cliffs and thick moorland is where the English mainland meets the Atlantic. Sites such as St Michael's Mount, The Minack Theatre, and Land's End are not to be missed. Along the way, your guide will share whimsical tales of this fascinating part of Cornwall.

  • Travel through the heart of the county past sweeping farmland and inland villages to reach the south coast and the maritime town of Falmouth. With a rich seafaring history, sailing still forms a key part of the town's identity today. From the marina, you will accompany marine biologists on a wildlife research cruise, spotting bottlenose dolphins, basking sharks and seals.

    Stay at The Sandy Duck
  • Embark on a journey along Cornwall's south coast, also known as "The Cornish Riviera". The subtropical climate here has created a vibrant landscape much more sheltered than the north of the county. Along the way, pay a visit to the rural village of Philleigh where a local chef will welcome you into their kitchen and show you the traditional method of Cornish pasty-making.

  • Take a scenic drive along the winding roads of the Cornish countryside to reach Truro. The capital of the county, Truro still retains small-town charm and hosts a delightful farmer's market twice a week. Today, along with your guide, you will meet local Cornish food producers and enjoy some samples including chutneys, cheeses and scones. After your time in Truro, make your way north to the fishing town of Padstow.

  • Spend today at your leisure exploring Padstow and the surrounding area. Visit independent boutiques, take a ferry across to the quiet village of Rock, or hire a bike and cycle the Camel Trail — a 19th-century disused railway line. In the evening, experience Padstow's thriving foodie scene in one of the numerous high-end restaurants.

  • Travel back south through delightful towns such as St Austell, home to St Austell Brewery, and Charlestown, a popular filming location, to reach the quaint town of Fowey. Arrive at your country manor hotel for a well-earned rest, or stroll into the heart of town to meander through the narrow streets full of traditional pubs and curiosity shops.

  • Experience the sheltered and untouched south Cornish coast on a self-guided walk to Polridmouth Cove — a secluded beach, only accessible by foot, surrounded by craggy rocks and blankets of wildflowers. Spend the final hours of the day relaxing in the hotel's spa ready for your journey home.

  • Meet your private driver in the hotel lobby to take you to the airport.
