Grand Tetons Guided Hike
Explore Grand Teton National Park on foot. Tours are customized based on the time of year, your interests, physical ability and wildlife in the area.
Wildlife Expeditions is a non-profit organization that has a well-earned reputation of locating all kinds of wildlife in the Greater Yellowstone area. They provide fascinating and educational experiences in a fun and relaxed environment. Animals that may be observed during their expeditions include elk, moose, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, wolves and bears.
The chances of finding these elusive predators in Yellowstone's 14-million acre ecosystem are dramatically increased when you travel with one of the Wildlife Expeditions' biologists, who know the best locations and times of day to observe them. The small group size, specialist vehicles and exemplary service all contribute to a wonderful eco-friendly adventure.
Enjoy a four-hour Sunrise Wildlife Expedition followed by a scenic float trip on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. The Sunrise Expedition is an introduction to the wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone Geo-ecosystem, taking advantage of times of day when animals are the most active. Expedition leaders know the best wildlife viewing spots, understand animal behavior and teach you how to find and observe wildlife on your own. Customized, safari-style vehicles are equipped with retractable roof hatches and sliding windows to maximize observation opportunities.
This will then be followed by a 10-mile scenic float trip, a raft journey on a slow moving stretch of the Snake River, which takes up to three hours and is an excellent opportunity to view wildlife at the base of the Tetons.
Swimming costumes are not required. We recommend wearing layers of clothing due to the continual temperature changes and unpredictability of the weather. Comfortable, closed toes shoes are preferred. The expedition includes snacks/beverages and lunch.
These activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences around where you're staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident's eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can suggest tours and activities that will introduce you to the local ways of life.
