Built by the British in 1904, historic Victoria Falls Hotel overlooks Victoria Falls Bridge and the dramatic Batoka Gorge below. Situated in large, private gardens, its colonial style and tranquil atmosphere has long been a favorite with visitors. The property has one of the best positions of any hotel around the falls, with a short walk along the private pathway bringing you out at the top of the gorge for a wonderful view of the bridge connecting Zimbabwe with Zambia.
Inside, the hotel is decorated with colonial prints and antique furniture, with four-poster beds in many of the rooms furthering the feeling of grandeur.
The Victoria Falls Hotel has an excellent reputation and an interesting history. We like its elegant colonial style and, of course, its proximity to Victoria Falls, which allows you to avoid the busiest times of day.
