From the moment I got on my first plane for my first independent holiday, I fell in love with the idea of creating journeys that would help me get in touch with different cultures. I didn’t think this would have such an impact on my personal and professional life.

My passion for exploring different cultures has always been my motivation for travel and has driven me to explore the world — embracing what the different countries had to offer.

Travelling through Canada, I was amazed by the country’s diversity, the natural wonders that the west has to offer, the cultural aspects of the east, and the amazing people I met during my entire journey. I love sharing my experiences and I’m sure others will enjoy the charm of this amazing country.

Q&A with Leonardo

Québec City, Québec

What’s the one thing you always pack?

Since my first trip abroad something that has always been with me when travelling is a notebook. I find taking photos very useful when it comes to remembering landscapes, but often struggle to remember what couldn’t be captured visually. Taking notes of things, such as the history of a sight or a city, has become a habit, and something I’ll continue doing.

Namche Bazaar, Nepal

What’s your most vivid travel moment?

Back in 2019 my father and I were hiking in Nepal from Lukla to Namche Bazaar. The aim was to reach Everest Base Camp over the next two weeks with as few stops as possible along the way. Upon reaching our first Tibetan bridge before the journey up to the first stop, we realised that this was more strenuous than originally planned. After a few hours of walking uphill, we finally gained sight of what resembled a small village and realised that the first milestone of the hike had been reached.

Stanley Park, Vancouver

Your best piece of travel advice?

My tip concerns, especially for a country such as Canada, to be ready to soak in its different cultures and costumes that each part of the country has to offer — the people are extremely friendly and open-minded, and this guarantees any guest enjoys interacting with locals. Along with this, different cuisines can be found in each region, and food is something that for me at least, makes for a great holiday.
