Rooms

Each of the rooms, including the private Miss Florentina Villa, feature sweeping views of the river. Amenities include air conditioning, fans, safes, hair dryers and complimentary Wi-Fi. Each suite also features a private terrace and an en suite bathroom.

Location

The lodge sits on a canal by Costa Rica’s northeastern seashore. The Caribbean town of Tortuguero thrives for its proximity to legendary turtle nesting sites and its flourishing canal system, known also as Tortuguero National Park. There’s also a small airstrip located across the canal from the lodge.

Food and drink

The onsite, riverfront Green Turtle Restaurant serves-up in the open air by the river, Caribbean and locally inspired dishes which all made with fresh organic ingredients and served in the beautiful.

Facilities and activities

There is an attractive pool offering a sense of immersion in the natural surroundings, as well as a shaded hammock hut and loungers.

Daily nature walks and boat trips are led by the lodge’s experienced naturalist guides, who also lead tours to turtle nesting sites in season, and kayak trips up the Tortuguero River, twilight nature hikes and other activities.
