Tabby

Global Travel Advisor

My passion for travel has always been a huge part of my life. Since living in San Fransisco, travelling around Hong Kong, Japan, and various European countries as a child, it sparked my desire to see as much of the world as possible. I’ve recently visited the Canadian Rocky Mountains, alongside Vancouver, Seattle, and LA.

A lot of my travel is inspired by culinary experiences and my interest for new cultural encounters. My next destination is Mauritius which I’m really looking forward to indulging in the local cuisine and visiting a mixture of Hindu temples, national parks, and crystal-clear beaches.

As a Global Travel Advisor, I’m really looking forward to using my passion of planning trips and advising on the best destinations for each client, through my own experiences and new knowledge too.

Jenni’s street quesadillas in Mexico City

What’s the best local dish you’ve tasted?

It has to be Jenni’s street quesadillas in Mexico City. In Roma Norte’s trendy and treelined streets, Jenni has been hand pressing her purple corn quesadillas filled with a variety of meats and vegetables for years now. I tried the tinga de pollo (shredded chicken), frijole (beans) and chicharron prensado (pressed pork). All are served with queso (cheese), and you can choose between three spicy salsas. I loved the authentic experience of sitting on the curb side eating them in true Mexican street-food style.

Asian elephant, Thailand

What’s your most vivid travel moment?

Waking up in an elephant eco sanctuary in Chiang Mai and feeding the elephants their breakfast right from my balcony. It was a truly unforgettable experience being surrounded by waterfalls within the national park and the elephants in their natural habitat. It was also great to see the care given to the elephants from the sanctuary and the utilisation of locally sourced food and resources.

Machu Picchu

Where would you love to travel next?

South America has been on my bucket list for many years now, in particular Peru. The rich mixture of Incan history, colourful landscapes and fragrant Peruvian cuisine has always inspired me. I’d love to explore around the Inca trails to Machu Picchu, then visit Rainbow Mountain and the town of Puno sitting on Lake Titicaca. I’m a big fan of photography so the natural vibrancy of the country really excites me.
