This small group excursion gives you a taste of the majestic scenery of the Milford Track without having to dedicate five days to complete the whole trail. Travelling by coach from Te Anau, you will head north along the lake to Te Anau Downs, where you will board the Fiordland Express catamaran. Enjoy a leisurely cruise north along the lake to Glade Wharf, where you will disembark. Here you will begin the easy 11 kilometre walking track, which takes you up along the Clinton River and back, and will take four to five hours to complete.
Along the way you will have plenty of time for birdwatching, photography, and enjoying the views, and your knowledgeable guide will ensure you are fully informed. You will take lunch and hot drinks beside the river, or in the Clinton Hut if the weather is adverse; then you return to the vessel for your cruise back to Te Anau.
