Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse

Set in the Kamberg Valley near the Giant's Castle Game Reserve, Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse has been developed as a "gourmet getaway", and the focus is on relaxation and fine food.

Built on the banks of a trout dam, there are stupendous views over the lake and mountains that rival the award-winning food. The 11 rooms and suites are in converted stables, and each is individually decorated, although all have mohair blankets, crisp bedding, and Victorian claw-footed bathtubs.

From the hotel you can spend the day hiking, fishing, or venturing further into the Drakensberg, activities which all build your appetite for the five-course evening dinner.
