A hotel that’s all about personal service and hospitality, Hotel Delfino Lugano has been run by the same family for four generations. You’re likely to meet the owner, Federico, who tries to greet all his guests whenever possible. The hotel has a relaxed informal feel, and is in a quiet location in the residential part of town. The lake is a ten-minute walk away, and the train station is about a three-minute walk.
The hotel is intimate, with 50 rooms and suites. While decorated simply, the rooms are clean and feature thoughtful details like vases of flowers. The hotel also has a conservatory restaurant, a large terrace and a big pool.
Though not directly on the lake, the hotel offers views of the gulf of Lugano, as well as Monte San Salvatore, which towers over Lake Lugano.
We love Hotel Delfino Lugano because of the value for money it offers, as well as its convenient location and attentive service. With its pool and menu options for children, it’s particularly well suited for families.
