Highlights of Switzerland

Take a one-hour train journey from Zürich to Neuhausen. Here, you can spend the morning at Europe's largest waterfall, the Rhine Falls, viewing it from a raised platform or from below on a boat trip. Head back to Zürich for an afternoon cruise around the lake, hopping on and off the boat to visit sights like the Lindt & Sprüngli chocolate factory.

Enjoy a day at leisure in Grindelwald. You can head out to explore the other tiny villages of Wengen and Mürren or take the funicular up from Grindelwald to enjoy some mountain air on a moderate hiking trail to Bachalpsee.

This morning, board another scenic train heading north to the Swiss capital of Bern. Your private guide will meet you for an afternoon walking tour of the city, including a behind-the-scenes peek inside the still-working 13th-century clock tower.

Today is a chance to sample the renowned (and holey) Swiss cheese. A private driver will take you out to the Emmental Valley for a tour of a show dairy. You'll journey through the ages of cheese-making, tasting different maturities of cheese along the way. Afterwards, you can also turn your hand to making your own version of soft cheese.
