Mountain Dome Tents

Accommodation is in mountain tents. Inside, there is a thick and oversized closed cell foam mattress pad to keep the cold off. These do an excellent job of keeping the cold out, but some people find them a little uncomfortable to sleep on, so if you wish, you can pre-book to hire an inflatable mattress as well.

You will need a sleeping bag. Some people prefer to bring their own, others choose to hire them from the climb company. They provide zero degree rated (F) mummy sleeping bags with a fleece liner. If you need to hire any extras for the climb, just let your specialist know.

The camp crew will consist of a guide, assistant guide, cook and porters. Three hot meals are available every day, as well as plentiful snacks and drinks. Finally, the camps are equipped with two-way radios and mobile telephones for constant contact with base camp. The camp crew are very friendly and the atmosphere in camp is friendly and fun.

It is possible to do a superior version of the climb, where you have a few little extras such as a private loo. If this is something that you would be interested in, please do consult with your specialist. There is also an additional level of comfort, which again you can choose to opt for (at an additional cost) which is to have luxury tents — these are larger and have camp beds inside, with the sleeping mat on top, for additional comfort.
