Tuk-tuk tour in Bangkok

Sizzling food tour of Bangkok by tuk-tuk

As the sun melts into the horizon, enjoy some of the Thai capital’s best cuisine, from tangy tom yum soup to nutty pad thai.

The satisfying crunch of wok-fried vegetables, the zing of freshly squeezed lime, and the sticky sweetness of glazed chicken, beef, and tofu… Thailand’s cuisine comprises a delicate balance of flavours, and a private tuk-tuk tour of Bangkok gives you a chance to taste them all. It is, after all, nicknamed the city that never stops eating.

Your private guide will pick you up at twilight, just as street-food kitchens become shrouded in an aromatic cloud of steam and locals start to turn out for dinner. Aboard one of Thailand’s classic three-wheeled tuk-tuks, you’ll zip around the city, stopping off at restaurants and eateries hand-picked for their culinary prowess and electric atmosphere.

Your guide will gladly tailor the route to your tastebuds, so let them know if there’s a particular dish you’re craving. You might try pad thai, tom yum soup, mango sticky rice, and som tam thai (papaya salad), among other local delicacies. As you feast, your guide will share the history, traditions, and cultural significance of each dish.

In between eateries, you can also make a stop at Wat Suthat to take photos in front of its illuminated chedis and Sao Chingcha (the Giant Swing), which towers nearby.

Then, you’ll head to a riverside rooftop bar, where you can sip chilled Thai beer (or a non-alcoholic beverage) and look out across Chao Phraya River and the temple of Wat Arun that sits on its banks, lit in a golden glow.

The tour lasts around four hours.
