-
Transfer to the airport in time for your flight to the Galapagos Islands. Here you will be met by your guide and taken to your awaiting vessel. After a welcome aboard you'll have your first excursions on the islands.
-
Take a walk at Moreno Point on Isabela Island. The trail here runs along a lava flow into a complex of coastal lagoons where you'll find several species of birds around the lakes and mangroves. You can find corals and shells exposed above the water at Urbina Bay. Urbina Bay is home to large and colourful land iguanas, giant tortoises, and Darwin finches.
-
Your sole visit to Fernandina Island will be Espinoza Point, home to the largest population of marine iguanas in the Galapagos. Watch as they bask in the warm sun and swim in the clear waters. Another unique species found here is the flightless cormorant. While enjoying lunch on board your vessel, you'll cross the Bolivar Channel back to Isabela Island to Vicente Roca Point. The calm waters of the coves here are protected from the ocean swell and make for an ideal snorkelling spot among sharks, penguins, and various fish.
-
Egas Port is a black sand beach located on the west side of Santiago Island. While taking in the beautiful location, you'll learn about the human history of the island and one man’s attempt to profit from the salt found here. Rabida Island is unique because of the red rocks and sand found here. Over time, rain, saltwater, and the sea breeze oxidised the volcanic material, creating a distinctive palette. A short walk to a coastal lagoon behind the beach leads you to an optimal birding site where you can spot many land birds such as finches, doves, yellow warblers, and mockingbirds. You may even spy the colony of flamingos that call Rabida home.
-
You'll fly back to Guayaquil, where you will be met and taken to your hotel for the night.
-
Transfer to the airport in time for your flights to San José. Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred to the San Ramón cloudforest for two nights.
