Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort

The exclusive Lady Elliot Island Resort is at the heart of this coral caye and provides an ideal base to explore the natural beauty of Lady Elliot Island. As a conscious step towards conserving the natural environment, the resort allows a maximum of 105 guests per night, ensuring a vacation escape for a select few.

Guests can choose from garden and reef units, and a spacious two-bedroom beachfront island suite which features a separate lounge area. The units were constructed using recycled building products, and feature LED energy efficient lights and water saving shower heads. All rooms are a short distance to the beach, with the reef unit and two-bedroom beachfront island suite a mere 10 m (33 ft) away.

Furthering their sustainability efforts, all flights to and from the island are carbon offset. There’s a strict no single use plastic water bottle or straw policy, and the solar power plant allows the resort to often run on 100% renewable energy. In addition, the natural ecosystem is being restored through planting native species and removing invasive species.

There’s a host of activities to choose from on the island, which include guided reef and nature walks, use of all snorkeling equipment, and a complimentary snorkeling lesson. Guided turtle and bird tours are also included in season.
