Rooms

With just 16 rooms and four luxurious suites, Spicers is a true boutique property which is hard to find in a large city like Sydney. Each room features contemporary designer furniture and luxurious bathroom products, as well as artworks by local Australian artists.

The entry level queen rooms are full of light, feature premium, neutral linens, a rain shower and a flat-screen TV — perfect for a short stay in Sydney. If you are staying a little longer however it’s worth upgrading to the Luxe King Room which is significantly more spacious, has a standalone bathtub and a larger king size bed.

If you really want to spoil yourself then the Victoria Terrace Suite is the room for you, with even more space than the Luxe King, and a stunning Victorian terrace overlooking the leafy street below.

Location

Spicers is nestled in the urban sanctuary of Potts Point, close to the designer boutiques and award-winning restaurants of Potts, as well as the Woolloomooloo Bay Wharf and a short drive to Bondi Beach. Our favorite thing to do on arrival is take a walk from Potts Point to the CBD, which is about 2 km and journeys through Woolloomooloo and the Royal Botanic Gardens into Circular Quay.

Food and drink

For most foodies, Potts Point is the best place to be in Sydney. The suburb hosts many of the country’s best restaurants, cafés and bars, and is a haven for all things food and drink — look no further than The Butler right across the street, which pairs mouth-watering food with panoramic views of Sydney’s highlights.

Spicers itself offers a gourmet à la carte breakfast, as well as complimentary evening cocktails and in room dining.

Environmental and social responsibility

The Spicers brand is leading the way in Australian sustainable tourism, has committed to being plastic free by 2025 and having zero net emissions and waste by 2030. At Potts Point they have a ‘Green Team Leader’ who is responsible for reducing their impact on the planet, including sourcing local produce to reduce air miles, running the on-site composting program and reducing energy consumption across the property.
