Located on the white sands of Nassau’s Cable Beach sits Rosewood Baha Mar, a serene escape set within the Baha Mar resort enclave. The 12-story high-rise property is shrouded by swaying palm trees with bright and spacious interiors designed in a British-colonial style with touches of Bahamian quality craftsmanship. Its atmosphere of refined relaxation disguises its close proximity to more than 40 restaurants and bars, and a mall showcasing designer boutiques just beyond the hotel’s calm confines.
Rooms range from high-ceiling guest rooms and suites to multi-bedroom villas, all sleek and stylish with crisp white linens, the odd accent of calming blue, and contemporary wall art. On top of the expert hospitality, the property includes two pools, a Sense spa, gym and boutiques.
We love that while this property is large in stature, it has an overwhelming feel of seclusion and outstanding personal service.

Rooms
Rosewood hosts 233 rooms, 96 of which are suites and four are villas, all housed in a horseshoe-shaped building looking out to sea. Each room boasts furnished balconies with views of either the resort or ocean, while the villas embrace further seclusion with private infinity or plunge pools. The stylish rooms have neutral tones throughout with tall ceilings and white, wood-paneled walls, and are often accented by contemporary artwork in blue hues or muted tones. The teak flooring and wood-clad walls give the feel of sophisticated beach-house, while the marble bathrooms with double sinks, bathtub and large walk-in shower feel decadent. Each guest is assigned a butler for the duration of their stay for a truly pampered experience. Wi-Fi and air conditioning come as standard in all rooms and villas.
Location
The resort is flanked by the pristine white Cable Beach and within the Baha Mar enclave, a prestigious spot on the island of New Providence. A short 10-minute drive is the capital city of Nassau, known for its hilly landscape, beaches and offshore coral reefs. Here, the buildings retain their 18th-century British-colonial style with pastel-shaded buildings including the pink-hued Government House.
Food and drink
Daily breakfast is an extensive continental buffet with an additional à la carte menu, and taken at the Commonwealth Restaurant. Throughout the day, three on-site restaurants cater to every food whim, from the poolside Costa and its coastal cuisine with a Latin American twist, the Tandoori-style Indian grill, Malam, with its exotic seafood dishes, or Tingum on The Sand, for fresh seafood dishes in a fish shack by the sea. Afternoon tea is a particular treat and held in The Library, an elegant lounge and bar. Within the wider Baha Mar resort a further 40 restaurants and bars are nearby.
Families
The Chickcharnie Explorers club keeps children between three- and 12-years old entertained between the three surrounding resorts, with activities such as snorkeling lessons and tennis. Each restaurant caters to the younger generation with a dedicated children’s menu, while the four suites and 98 connecting suites are best suited to families.
Facilities and activities
Amenities at the Rosewood Baha Mar includes the Sense spa, offering an extensive range of therapies and services covering both wellness and beauty, while the 24-hour gym includes weight-training and cardiovascular equipment with views to the resort’s luscious garden. For activity seekers there are tennis courts and the three on-site swimming pools: the Cabana Pool decked with surrounding sun loungers, the lively, family-focused Lagoon Pool located near the beach, and the hidden whirlpool which is tucked away amid the gently swaying bamboo trees. As part of Baha Mar resort, any stay at the hotel includes access to a nature sanctuary, racquet club, casino and golf course, to name but a few of the facilities on offer. The crowning jewel of the property is perhaps the direct access to a long white-sand beach.
Accessibility
There are two wheelchair accessible rooms within the resort, complete with lowered countertops, roll-in showers and balcony ramps. To control lighting, room service and other amenities a waist-height, wall-mounted control panel has been adapted in wheelchair-friendly each room.
