Hotel Neuvice

Hotel Neuvice

Liège, Belgium

Tucked into a cobbled, pedestrian side street in the heart of old town Liege, the Hotel Neuvice is a small boutique hotel with welcoming decor and friendly service.

Converted from an 18th-century printer’s shop by an art historian, the hotel’s style is modern and chic while seamlessly blending with the original architecture. The relaxing lobby has a small seating area and a fireplace, and the hotel’s enclosed courtyard is a great place to have a glass of wine after walking the city.

While the rooms are simple, they include most modern amenities and are comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is served daily in the hotel’s atelier, built into two restored 15th-century wine cellars. The hotel also offers afternoon tea in its library.

The hotel staff is small, but very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area, which is rich with local shops and restaurants. The staff can also arrange various local experiences for you, including beer tastings, a wellness experience at a local spa and an art workshop.

OUR OPINION:

Located on a cobblestone street in the heart of the old town, Hotel Neuvice puts you in the middle of Liège while providing a quiet retreat. The warm decor and friendly staff make for a comfortable stay.

Rooms

There are only 12 rooms in this historical building, so rooms of the same category are slightly different in size and look. The Standard rooms and the Neuvice Rooms share the same style and amenities, but the Standard rooms are on the third floor and the building lacks an elevator, which makes them more work to walk up to. There is also a family room that sleeps four people.

All of the rooms are decorated in neutral tones with smooth, contemporary lines complementing the exposed original ceiling beams. The rooms also include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, rain showers and minibars.

Location

The Hotel Neuvice is nestled down a pedestrian street in the middle of the old city, and is close to most of the sights in town as well as many restaurants. The street itself is full of boutique stores owned by local vendors.

  • A continental breakfast is served each morning, with items sourced from local vendors.

Families
