St Anthony is located on the northeastern tip of Newfoundland on Iceberg Alley. The Grenfell Heritage Hotel is a five-minute walk from the town's shops, restaurants and museums, and from the embarkation point for whale and iceberg-watching boat trips. The 11th-century Viking settlement of L'Anse aux Meadows is 40 km (25 miles) to the north, while Raleigh Historic Village, a recreation of a 1940s fishing village, and Burnt Cape Ecological Reserve are 30 km (19 miles) away.
