Each of the guest rooms and suites strikes a great balance between Montréal’s modern personality and historic backdrop. The rooms are spacious and feature original brick and stone walls, contemporary details and rich furnishings. Amenities include minibars, safes, TVs, hair dryers, free Wi-Fi and en suite bathrooms; some with Jacuzzi baths. Most offer a king sized bed, but there are twin double bed options also available. Views look out onto one of Montréal’s historic cobbled streets, the Old Port or into the hotel’s charming internal atrium.
The impressive One Bedroom Penthouse has its own terrace, dining area and kitchenette, a Jacuzzi tub and a spacious living area, sleeping up to four guests with the addition of a rollaway bed. There's also the Two Bedroom Penthouse, which has the same amenities for up to four guests but has two separate king sized bedrooms.
Location
The hotel is minutes away from the St. Lawrence River, the Old Port and Notre Dame. The main entrance sits directly on Rue Saint-Paul, which was first paved in the 17th century and now offers an abundance of places for drinks, dining and entertainment.
Food and drink
Continental breakfast is served in the historic atrium and is included with your stay at Hotel Nelligan. For lunch and dinner you can choose to dine in The Merchant Boeuf — a pub-style bar serving a variety of beverages and seasonal 'raw bar' snacks, as well as hosting live music. The Terrasse Nelligan is a rooftop restaurant that serves as an excellent spot to soak up the sun and enjoy a drink. They are open for lunch and dinner with a varied menu, and have a leisurely atmosphere.
Alternatively, you can venture into the city, where you'll find a variety of bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Facilities and activities
Enjoy a coffee by the fireplace in the library whilst taking in a view of the garden-atrium, which serves as a tearoom in the afternoon. Other amenities at the hotel include a fitness center and a same-day laundry service, while Terrasse Nelligan, the rooftop terrace, is a great place to take in the view over Old Montreal with a glass of wine. Guests also have use of the spa at the Hotel Place d'Armes.
